We are in 2020. Mioara, who in the ‘70s lived in the well-known block of ”Retro Bird Hits The Appartment Building And Falls On The Hot Asphalt”, grew up, became a writer and has lived in Belgium for a long time. She returns to her childhood place driven by the desire to write a novel that might help her escape the past. Or so she hopes.
The old block has now become a hotel called Grand Hotel Pasărea Retro. Its owners are a bizarre couple, Aladár, the former flower seller and Zita, his wife overflowing with romantic feelings. The hotel is populated by specific figures of the post-december society: along with the policeman, psychologist, composer, singer and maid, there are also figures from the periphery of society.
Through them, the world of today is outlined, with the current problems and dilemmas, but at the same time, a reflection on art is realized. As in 'Retro Bird Hits...', in this show the stage poetry and humor are doubled by a critique of society.
